Service Description

OFFERED IN-PERSON IN SEATTLE USING CDC PROTOCOLS or ONLINE. The science on elevating creativity and developing or re-committing to a daily writing habit! Research shows that the simple act of walking, preferably outdoors in nature can help writers achieve both goals. During 4-hours sessions (1 hour to walk before writing) we will meet to walk together as a means opening and accessing the creativity centers of the brain. We will experiment with writing in an arts integrated environment and enjoy mutual writing grounded in the revered Amherst Writers & Artists (AWA) method. For more than 50 years, the AWA method has liberated the voices of writers from all walks of life, especially those marginalized by society and those paralyzed by "writer's block." The model celebrates writing as an art form that belongs to everyone, no matter their background or their experience level. We believe: "A writer is someone who writes." ~ Pat Schneider, AWA Founder
